DeWayne Weaver, DVM Owner/Practitioner
Dr. Weaver has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Owner of Green Camp Veterinary Clinic, LLC since 1999, he purchased Southgate Veterinary Clinic in May 2017 from Dr. Matt Verbsky. He practices small animal medicine and surgery at both locations and large animal medicine and surgery (primarily cattle, goats, sheep) out of the Green Camp location.
Growing up in a rural setting on a dairy farm near Kenton, Dr. Weaver developed a passion for all types of animals. This is what has drawn him back to area of Green Camp and now at his new venture in Bellefontaine. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Melissa, their six children, and their many pets.
Skyler Winter, DVM Associate Vet
Dr. Winter grew up in a small town in western Pennsylvania where she developed her love for animals. She attended undergrad in Lock Haven, PA and is a graduate with her DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Winter lives near Mt. Victory with her husband and their fur child, Stryker. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors either hiking, camping, hunting or riding off-road vehicles. However, spending time with family tops the list.
Chelsea Snyder, RVT
Chelsea is a graduate of Bradford School with her RVT degree. She previously studied at Marion Technical College and Columbus State Community College. She originally practiced in Green Camp Veterinary Clinic and transferred to Southgate Veterinary Clinic when it was purchased in May 2017.
Chelsea resides with her 2 fur kids Deacon and Copper. In her spare time she enjoys kayaking, swimming and spending time with friends and family.
Amanda Long, Office Manager
Well versed in all aspects of a veterinary practice, Amanda is a great asset to both practices. She began working at Green Camp Veterinary Clinic in 2002. She immersed herself in the animal care field and was quickly promoted to her current position of office manager. With the acquisition of Southgate Veterinary Clinic, she stays busy keeping up with both practices. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Business for Accounting from Marion Technical College in 2000 and applies this knowledge to the daily operations of both practices.
Outside the offices, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, their 4 delightful children, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 4 turtles and tarantula. Spending time outdoors hiking trails, taking bike rides or walking with her kids is her favorite down time.
Holly VanBuskirk- Assistant/Reception
Holly has been employed with Southgate Veterinary Clinic since 2004. Her favorite aspect of the job is assisting in surgery and watching veterinary medicine advance in procedures.
She has been married to her husband, Adam, for 25 years. Together they share a son, A.J., 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 squirrels. Holly is very active in the community when she is not helping with the critters. She is part of the community theater in Bellefontaine and Urbana.
Cathy has been an employee of Southgate Veterinary Clinic since 2006. She enjoys assisting in the care of our patients.
Cathy has been married to her husband, Earl, for 30 years. In her spare time she enjoys playing with her 2 beautiful grandchildren, golfing, or being outside in the sun. During the winter months, she gets to stay inside and cuddle with her 4 dogs.
Alicia has been part of Southgate Veterinary Clinic since 2009 after graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University with a degree in Biology in 2009. She loves working closely with the animals during surgery or for their every day exams.
She and her husband, Tyler, have a cat named Buzz. She is very crafty and enjoys reading in her spare time. On her days away she enjoys instructing tumbling classes.
